Meet Yazmin

Retail Analyst

Every day I Thryve because I work with a passionate and experienced team who are all aligned to achieve the same goal. My typical day as a Global Business Development Representative is centered around building relationships with prospect customers to qualify opportunities for the Sales Team.

On a daily basis I work closely with the Sales Team, Marketing Team and Sales Support Team. Working so closely with each team and having transparent communication across all departments ensures a clear direction for the business which is something I love about Mi9 Retail.

Working across all departments ensures that for me, no day is the same. There is always something new and exciting to get involved in, which keeps me interested and engaged at all times.

Outside of work I spend a lot of time with my family and friends, socialising and exploring new places. I also enjoy going to the gym, keeping fit and healthy and cooking new recipes.

Morning

  • Make a fresh pot of coffee ready for the morning (a large pot usually!!)
  • Get up to date with industry news and network with my contacts through LinkedIn
  • Follow up on any inbound leads and interest from new customers
  • Organise my busy brain by writing out a to-do list for the day
  • Catch-up with the Business Development team and Sales Team

Afternoon

  • Usually make a quick and healthy lunch – typically a Chicken Salad and go out for a walk in my dinner hour
  • Reach out and connect with new contacts and accounts
  • Attend demo’s and qualification calls with prospect customers
  • Catch up with the US team to ensure we are aligned on strategies
  • Manage all open opportunities and ensure relationships with prospects are maintained

Evening

  • Unwind and catch up with Friends and Family
  • Watch a new episode of which ever box set I am loving on Netflix, most recently ‘The Originals’
  • Prepare for meetings the following day and ensure the team are aligned on demo’s/qualification calls
  • Late night gym session!
  • What makes me successful in my role…
    I am most successful in my role due to the amazing team which I work with and the experience which the team has. Coming from a non retail background, I was concerned about having minimal knowledge of the industry however with the training, guidance and great team around me I have picked up so much in such a short period of time. Further to this, Mi9 retail have such a fantastic product, I feel I can get really passionate about it when talking to new prospect customers.

  • Best advice I’ve received at Mi9…
    You are always learning and you will never know enough. This is something I didn’t understand when, Malcolm – VP of Global Sales, said it to me the first time, but it is true, especially in the Software industry. Being someone who wants to be an expert at everything, I have loved learning about the solution we offer and the retailers process and appreciate that I will always be learning something new, due to how advanced our solution and customers are.
